Maria Leonor Ribeiro

Maria Leonor Ribeiro is exploring innovative ways to harness light in the fight against lung cancer. Her research focuses on developing a novel nanoparticle system designed to combine photodynamic therapy with immunotherapy. She aims to thoroughly characterise the therapeutic potential of this approach within a 3D model using metabolic imaging. She is currently pursuing a PhD in biomedical sciences at the University of Porto and holds a master’s degree in biomedical engineering.
