Maive Rute

Maive Rute is Deputy Director-General of the European Commission’s DG GROW, where she oversees industrial policy, innovation, and SME development. She also serves on the Board of the European Investment Fund. With a career spanning senior roles across EU institutions, she has contributed to key initiatives in research, bioeconomy, and entrepreneurship, including the EU’s Small Business Act and Horizon 2020. Trained in economics and international politics, she brings extensive expertise in innovation policy, finance, and sustainable growth.
