Katharina Riedel

Katharina Riedel is a microbiologist and Rector of the University of Greifswald (since 2021, re-elected 2025), holding the Chair of Microbiology there. Her research centers on analyzing microbial communities via metaproteomics and developing bioinformatic tools for complex omics datasets.
