Ibrahim Yimer

Ibrahim Yimer is Vice President of Research at the National Research Council of Canada (NRC), where he leads the organization’s national research strategy and partnerships across science, technology, and innovation. With more than two decades at the NRC, he has previously served as Vice President of Transportation and Manufacturing, Director General of Aerospace, and Program Manager in gas turbine combustion and aerodynamics. Trained as a chemical engineer, Dr. Yimer is an expert in combustion science and sustainable propulsion technologies, with a strong record of advancing collaborative R&D with industry and government partners.
