Franziska Hornig

Franziska Hornig is Secretary General of Leopoldina, the German National Academy of Sciences, a position she has held since September 2020. A science manager with a background in business administration and a Master of Public Administration in science management, she previously led the administration of the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz, headed research funding at the University Medical Centre of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, and built the grants office at the Institute of Molecular Biology in Mainz.
