Currently a Management Trainee in pharmaceutical operations at Boehringer Ingelheim, Emmie brings a unique blend of scientific expertise and leadership. With a PhD in Chemistry and published work in green chemistry, clean energy and drug discovery, Emmie is passionate about driving innovation in the healthcare space. Prior to this, Emmie led an Africa-focused initiative for Boehringer Ingelheim’s open innovation portal, opnMe.com, fostering collaboration across the continent.

As the founder of Falling Walls Lab Zimbabwe, Emmie is committed to promoting inclusion and collaboration within the scientific community. An award-winning science communicator, Emmie excels at translating complex scientific concepts into engaging messages for diverse audiences, making an impact both in and beyond the lab.
