Donat Agosti

Donat Agosti is president of the Swiss NGO Plazi. Its mission is to provide open access to data imprisoned in scientific publications for immediate use in discovery or AI applications. Together with CERN’s Zenodo repository they develop means to makes this data findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable. With publishers, novel ways have been developed to make publications immediately machine actionable. Prior he has been an advocate for open access, collaborated with NASA to build a biodiversity research program and argued for open access to its remote sensing data.
