Denys Villa Gomez

Denys Villa Gomez, Senior Lecturer at University of Queensland, develops biotechnologies reducing carbon emissions and recovering resources from waste/wastewater. She leads “Synbio Mining” in UQ Biosustainability Hub and is chief investigator at ARC Training Centre in Critical Resources. She earned a PhD in Environmental Science/Technology from IHE-Delft/Wageningen University, Netherlands, in 2013.
