Colin Forsyth is an associate professor at the UCL Mullard Space Science Laboratory, Co-PI of the joint ESA/Chinese Academy of Sciences SMILE mission and Co-ILS of the iEPC instrument on the ESA Plasma Observatory mission. He has been studying Sun-Earth interactions for over 20 years, publishing works on explosive energy release in space, Earth’s radiation environment and space weather using data from spacecraft and ground-based instruments. His work takes him around the world to collaborate with scientist and engineers in the pursuit of our understanding of the space around us.
