Carolin Daniel is Professor of Immune Modulation at LMU Munich and Director of the Institute for Metabolism and Immunology at Helmholtz Munich. She also leads the Type 1 Diabetes Academy of the German Center for Diabetes Research (DZD). Her research explores regulatory T cells at the interplay of immune regulation and metabolism, particularly in type 1 diabetes and obesity. Her vision is to harness regulatory T cells for precise immune modulation to prevent and treat autoimmune and metabolic diseases.
