Carina Kanitz

Carina Kanitz is an experimental physicist at the German Aerospace Center, Institute for Quantum Technologies, working on matter-wave optics – a technology she employs to image thin materials without destroying them, offering a new approach in materials science. After studying physics at the University of Erlangen, she conducted research at CERN. Carina is committed to inspiring young students to engage with STEM, for example through her involvement in youth science competitions and her own outreach initiative.
