Ariel Knafo-Noam is a professor of psychology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and head of the Social Development Laboratory. His research focuses on the genetic and environmental contributions to prosocial behaviour, studying how empathy, altruism and values develop across childhood in the context of family, culture and genetics. He uses a range of methodologies including twin studies, longitudinal family research, and experimental designs.
