Annette Barkhaus

Annette Barkhaus is Deputy Head of the Research Department at the German Council of Science and Humanities. Her responsibilities include issues relating to knowledge security, science diplomacy and philanthropy in science. Previously, she organised the evaluation of research infrastructures and entire fields of research, such as agricultural and food sciences. She was also involved in establishing the University of Erfurt. Annette Barkhaus studied biology and philosophy and holds a doctorate in philosophy.
