Anna Fontcuberta i Morral

Anna Fontcuberta i Morral is President of EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), becoming in 2025 the first woman to lead a Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. A physicist and materials scientist specializing in semiconductor nanostructures for solar cells and quantum technologies, she joined EPFL in 2008 and was named full professor in 2019. She holds a PhD from École Polytechnique in France.
