Alex Schafgans

Alexander Schafgans is Vice President, Head of Development and Engineering at ASML in San Diego, where the company's EUV light source is developed. He joined Cymer/ASML in 2011 and has been central to advancing EUV source technology; he holds a PhD in physics from UC San Diego and shared the 2021 Berthold Leibinger Innovation Prize.
