Big Science Governance: Reshaping International Cooperation | By Invitation Only

CERN

Participants explore new approaches to governance, with a focus on public–private partnerships and new institutional models.

Large-scale international science infrastructures are essential drivers of discovery, innovation and global collaboration. Yet their scale and complexity often outgrow the frameworks of host nations, proven governance models and even the largest labs. One example is the current effort of the global particle physics community to find the optimal post-LHC infrastructure. Participants explore new approaches to governance, with a focus on public–private partnerships and new institutional models.
