Yossi Hasson

Director of Research

Yossi Hasson holds a Ph.D. in psychology from the Hebrew University. His research focuses on empathy and empathy regulation, in which he examines human motivations to empathize with others in intergroup contexts. His research aims to improve interpersonal and intergroup relations by developing effective multidisciplinary interventions that combine psychological knowledge with virtual reality, educational tools, and performance art. In addition, Yossi is the Director of Research at ‘aChord – social psychology for social change’ at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. In this capacity, Yossi leads the research strategy of aChord, and responsible for strategic research projects and development of new psychological assessment methodologies.
