Mr. Xu is Director of the Board, President of the Institute of Strategic Research. He is also a member of the company’s Executive Management Team. Mr. Xu has held several senior-level positions at Huawei. In 2018, Mr. Xu was appointed as President of the Institute of Strategic Research. In 2017, Mr. Xu served as Chair of the Investment Review Board. In 2013, Mr. Xu was appointed as Chief Strategy Marketing Officer, a position he has held ever since. In 2011, Mr. Xu became CEO of the Enterprise Business Group. In 2010, he was appointed as President of the Joint Committee of Regions. In 2009, Mr. Xu served as Chief Sales & Service Officer. In 2008, Mr. Xu was appointed as Huawei’s Chief Strategy & Marketing Officer. In 2005, Mr. Xu served as President of Huawei’s European Area. In 1991, Mr. Xu joined Huawei’s Research & Development, leading the development of the first generation of Huawei’s public program controlled switches. Mr. Xu also took charge of work related to chips, general technology, strategy planning, and research. In 2002 he became the head of R&D. Mr. Xu holds a master’s degree in automatic control from Southeast University in Nanjing, China.
