Professor for Clothing and Textile Design
Valeska Schmidt-Thomsen is professor of Fashion and Textile Design at the College of Architecture, Media and Design of the Berlin University of the Arts. After completing her studies in Fashion Design at Koninklijke Academievoor schone Kunsten in Antwerp, she was responsible from 1994 for various collections for such labels as Gucci, Chanel and Helmut Lang, before joining UdK in 2005, where she was named Managing Director of the Institute of Experimental Fashion and Textile Design.
