He has made seminal fundamental scientific contributions in single-site catalysis, catalytic materials, high-throughput experimentation, renewable chemicals, ionic liquids, supercritical chemistry, energy materials, and photocatalysis, and demonstrated societal impact several times through successful technology translation.
His CatHTR chemical upcycling technology of plastic and biomass waste to help enable a circular economy has been adopted globally, while his battery technology is being scaled with global partners.
