2009 2009 Speaker Speaker Breakthrough Day

Since 2007, Stephanie Reich is Full Professor of Physics at Freie Universität Berlin. She received her MA and her PhD in Physics at TU Berlin in 1998 and 2001, before she was Assistant Professor of Material Science to Thomas B. King at Massachusetts Institute of Technologie in Cambridge, Oppenheimer Fellow at the University of Cambridge (2005-2007), Junior Research Fellow at Newnham College in Cambridge (2003-2005) and Research Fellow at Intitut de Cièna de Materials de Barcelona (CSIC) (2003-2005).

Reich was award numerous times: Starting Grant of the European Research Commission in 2007, Karl-Schell-Preis der physikalischen Gesellschaft zu Berlin in 2005, Oppenheimer research Fellow of the Ernest Oppenheimer Fund in 2003, Elected Junior Research Fellow at Newnham College, Cambridge in 2003 and K.M. Stott Prize of K.M. Stott Fund in 2003.
