Professor Professor of International Cooperation for Disaster Medicine, IRIDeS since 2012. Prof. Egawa is a medical doctor, surgeon specialized in pancreas. He served as the headquarter of Tohoku University Hospital at the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake. Research specialty in disaster medicine, medical needs and effective response after disaster.
