Sheikh Mohammed Shariful Islam

Sheikh Mohammed Shariful Islam (MBBS, MPH, PhD, FESC) is a Senior Research Fellow at Deakin University. He leads the NHMRC and National Heart Foundation projects focusing on using innovative technologies and AI for improving cardio-metabolic health. Shariful is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology, a member of ITU-WHO Working Group on AI for Health, and leads the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand position statement on AI in Cardiology. Shariful has published many articles including BMJ, The Lancet, and Nature Medicine.
