Sarah Teichmann is the co-founder and co-leader of the international Human Cell Atlas consortium, which uses single cell genomics and spatial methodologies to create a comprehensive high-resolution map of the human body. She is also Head of Cellular Genetics at the Wellcome Sanger Institute, where her research focuses on genomics and immunity. Sarah is an EMBO member and fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences and Royal Society, and her work has been recognized by a number of prizes, including the Biochemical Society GlaxoSmithKline Prize, Royal Society Crick Lecture and EMBO Gold Medal.
