Peter H. Seeberger (born 1966) studied chemistry at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and received his PhD in biochemistry from the University of Colorado. He has been professor at the MIT (1998-2002) and at the ETH Zurich (03-09). Since 2009 he has been director at the Max Planck Institute in Potsdam and professor at the Free University of Berlin. He is a member of the Senate of the MPG and since 2021 Vice President of the DFG. Prof. Seeberger’s research on the chemistry and biology of sugars and continuous synthesis has been published in over 620 articles and has been awarded more than 40 prizes.
