Peer Pasternack

Director Peer Pasternack was 1989-1995 student representative of the University of Leipzig and speaker of the East German conference of student bodies. After completing his doctorate in Oldenburg, habilitation in Kassel. 2002-2003 State Secretary for Science in Berlin. Since eleven years Pasternack acts as head of the Institute for Higher Education Research at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU) and teaches at the Institute for Sociology at MLU. In addition to his present-day work, he conducts research on the history of science in the GDR and on the transformation of science in the 1990s.
