Ottmar Edenhofer is deputy-director and chief economist at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and one of the world’s foremost experts on climate and energy policies. Prof. Dr. Ottmar Edenhofer is also director of Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change (MCC). In 2008 he was appointed to a chairmanship of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). He has been a Lead Author for the Fourth Assessment Report of the IPCC which won the Nobel Peace Price in 2007.
