Miriam Wandres is doing her doctorate in the laboratory of Nikolaus Rajewsky at the MDC-Berlin. She is currently working with brain organoids: miniature artificial brain-like structures which grow in a petri dish. The aim of her doctoral thesis is to develop therapeutic options for diseases such as Alzheimer’s and glioblastoma.
