Dr. Michele Jacobsen, Professor Learning Sciences, & University of Calgary Teaching Scholar, designs and studies innovations in learning with technology. She leads design of participatory pedagogies for knowledge building and intellectual engagement in open learning spaces. Her research includes online faculty development for quality graduate supervision, science communication training, peer mentoring in graduate school, research-based learning in online graduate programs, internet use by Canadian families, and leading complex adaptive learning systems in kindergarten to senior high schools.
