Michael Sedbon is an artist and designer whose work explores the relationship between the culture around Artificial and Biological intelligence. Through the making of bio-computers manipulating life-forms through rules implemented in soft and hardware, his work looks at how biology influences computer science conceptually and at the impact of the implementation of computation to ecosystems. He has been the recipient of the Bio-arts and Design Award while his work got nominated in international competitions such as the STARTS prize of the European Commission and the Lumens Prize. He holds a Master in Interaction Design from the University of the Arts London and is currently studying synthetic and system biology at CRI in Paris.
