Louise Amoore is a political geographer in the Department of Geography, Durham University, UK. Her reseach focuses on the political and social impacts of algorithmic and machine learning technologies. She is PI of the ERC Advanced Grant project, Algorithmic Societies, which examines how technological transformations in machine learning are paralleled by normative and ethical changes in society. She is the author of many books and articles, most recently “Cloud Ethics: Algorithms and the Attributes of Ourselves and Others” (Duke University Press 2020).
