Frontiers for Young Minds is a unique, online journal for kids, publishing high-quality, open-access science to inform and inspire the next generation of scientists and engaged citizens of tomorrow. Fully free to read, to re-use, and to download anywhere globally with internet access, each article is written by top researchers and peer reviewed by young students aged 8-15. Our young global audience – working with us online from over 60 countries – ensure that every article is not only clear and accessible, but also engaging for their peers. Thus our Young Reviewers shape all final articles and set the terms for their peers to be informed about science, and they learn not only about the latest science but also gain insight on how science works by being part of a crucial stage of the scientific process, and develop critical thinking skills which will benefit them all their lives.

We have published well over 1000 articles and have achieved over 28 million views and downloads worldwide from 230 countries and territories. Proud to include a Collection of Nobel Prize winners amongst our authors, our journal has become a global leader in science engagement.

And our respected academic authors learn from our process too they tell us ours is not only hands-down the most fun peer review process ever but also one of the toughest, teaching them to communicate outside their own research fields. With an average of over 26K views per article, we enable researchers to break out of silos and make a truly global impact, shaping young leaders of tomorrows world by enabling them to understand the scientific breakthroughs of today, worldwide.
