Julian Adenauer studied mechatronics engineering, but began building bridges from technology to design and art while still a student. As part of the artist duo Sonice Development, he developed robotic art installations after his studies and exhibited them internationally. He also did research in the field of human-technology interaction in product development at the interdisciplinary graduate college prometei in Berlin. As founder and director of Retune, he today curates and organizes interdisciplinary festivals, lectures and workshops. Since 2018 he is also a professor for Digital and Interactive Technologies at the Weißensee School of Art Berlin.
