Juan Ferrer is a New York-based Chilean designer. Since 2016 he has been directing and curating the museum Museo del Hongo, in which his thrill for science and passion for art converge. Through his work, Ferrer questions disciplinary boundaries by proposing new concepts in scientific engagement through artistic, immersive, and interactive experiences in the museum space. Museo del Hongo has brought together an interdisciplinary team and diverse audiences to engage with art, technology, and the Fungi Kingdom. Currently, he is a student at New York University’s XE: Experimental Humanities and Social Engagement program.
