Irene Tagliaro has a MSC in chemistry science and a PhD in materials science. After her PhD, she worked as a consultant for SMEs. Most recently, she has been working in SEFI Lab at the University Milano-Bicocca, where she is the project manager of SURFICE (smart surface design for efficient ice protection and control). There, she coordinates the work of 13 PhD students located in different European countries and a consortium of ten institutes and several partners. She is also expanding her research interests in the fields of coatings, biopolymers, and sustainable materials.
