Dr. Franziska Hoffart is an economists & philosopher dedicated to support the transition to a just and sustainable future through policy-relevant research, focusing on the energy transition. Currently, she is a postdoc researcher at SOFI Göttingen e.V. and an associate researcher at DIW Berlin, holding a Ph.D. in economics from Ruhr-University Bochum. She studied economics, philosophy & politics in Germany, South Africa, and China and is fascinated by the science-society interplay. This is why she worked as a researcher at the GLS Bank on transition risk and the German Advisory Council on the Environment (SRU) on sufficiency and also publishes on the social responsibility of scientists.
