Frank Albrecht directs the Philipp Schwartz Initiative, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation’s protection and funding programme for at-risk researchers, and collaborates with Scholars at Risk Europe and the European University Association in the implementation of the European Commission’s MSCA4Ukraine funding scheme for displaced Ukrainian scholars. Previously he served in various roles at the Humboldt Foundation. Before joining the Foundation, he held temporary assignments as a consultant for United Nations Volunteers, part of UNDP, and worked as a researcher at a UK-based consulting company, the MRL Group. He holds a M.A. degree in Linguistics from Bonn University.
