Daniela, already in her childhood in a working-class Costa Rican family full of love, was convinced she would become a scientist. Today, the doctoral researcher works at Forschungszentrum Jülich on ‘Capacity building in climate-smart agriculture and ecological sanitation in Ethiopia’. In Ethiopia, the chemist fell in love with the culture and became determined to improve as many lives as possible with her research. She enjoys using her enthusiasm and skills to raise awareness of sustainable development strategies. In her free time, she enjoys working out, singing and playing the ukulele.
