Daniel Cremers studied physics and mathematics in Heidelberg and New York. After his PhD in Computer Science he spent three years in LA and Princeton. In 2005 he became professor in Bonn. Since 2009 he holds the Chair of Computer Vision and AI at TU Munich. He received numerous awards, including the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Award 2016. He is member of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities. With an h-index of 92 and over 39000 citations to his over 450 papers, Prof. Cremers is among the most influential scientists in Germany. He co-founded several companies, most recently Artisense.
