Caterina Vernieri

Dr. Vernieri received her PhD in Physics at the Scuola Normale Superiore, in Pisa (Italy), in 2014, followed by a post-doctoral position at FermiLab. Currently she holds the Panofsky Fellowship at SLAC (Stanford Linear Accelerator Laboratory). Throughout her career, she has worked mainly with the data collected at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) with the goal of unraveling the details of the nature of the Higgs boson. She is one of the key SLAC scientists working on the development of the ATLAS pixel inner tracker, to be installed in the process of upgrading the LHC to High Luminosity LHC.
