Armin Reinartz

Armin Reinartz enrolled in Modern Chinese Studies at the University of Cologne and completed his studies with a Master of Contemporary East Asian Studies from the University of Duisburg-Essen and a Master of Public Policy from Peking University. In 2013, he started work as a Project Manager for the Friedrich Naumann Foundation in its Southeast and East Asia Regional Office in Bangkok. In 2015, he also became a regular lecturer and instructor at the Foundation’s International Academy for Leadership (IAF) and Theodor Heuss Academy. In late 2016, Mr Reinartz initiated the establishment of the Foundation’s new Greater China Unit (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan) and Global Innovation Hub in Hong Kong, which he also headed from 2017. Mr Reinartz has been Head of Directorate-General “European and International Cooperation in Education and Research” at the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research since 1 May 2022.
