Andreas Ofenbauer

Postdoc Andreas Ofenbauer studied Microbiology/Genetics at the University of Vienna, but did the practical part of his master in Dresden, where he conducted embryonic kidney culture as well as biomaterial research on stem cells. Moving to Berlin for his PhD at the MDC, he started working on the geneticist’s dream of an organism, the nematode C. elegans, studying cell fate mechanisms. Besides his research, he loves to communicate science, for example as a passionate science slammer.
