I’m a Genomic Biotechnologist passionate about the development of engineered cell therapies for blood diseases. I am a PhD student at Tecnológico de Monterrey. In my project, I evaluate strategies to increase the ex vivo expansion of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) to produce human neutrophils. This will further contribute to solving some of the limitations of neutrophil transfusions, the study of some neutrophil related-diseases, and the development of cell-based therapies. My favorite fields are molecular biology and genetic engineering.
