The international Hub network is a global community of Science Engagement practitioners and organisations bringing science closer to society—currently active in 9 countries. In 2022, we launched new Engage Hubs in Mexico, Japan and South Africa. Find out more about our mission, your network of interest and detailed information on how to get involved below.

Our Mission

The Falling Walls Engage Hubs are a global community of Science Engagement practitioners and organisations connecting Science Engagement networks from around the world in order to tackle global challenges through dialogue, international collaboration and joint action.

The Falling Walls Engage Hubs aim to:

  • Foster local dialogue with stakeholders to identify local challenges, co-create solutions and act together.
  • Identify best-practice community engagement to collect evidence and scale globally.
  • Activate scientists while fostering institutional exchange and multidisciplinary collaborations.
  • Promote capacity-building in co-creation and dialogue-related skills.

The existing 9 Falling Walls Engage Hubs are locally embedded network nodes under the leadership of local Hub Managers who define each Hub's specific aims and gather stakeholders in their region to co-create and drive global impact.
