SMASHfestUK

SMASHfestUK is an inclusive 'hyerlocal' science and arts festival for young people and families that was founded to engage underserved/under-represented audiences with STEAM. All activities - ranging from comedy and immersive theatre to interactive game and hands-on experiments - are predicated on an overarching semi-immersive story about an impending disaster (i.e. "Asteroid!"). Community co-design engaging audiences and the involvement of artists and scientists also allows the festival to be a platform for research engagement and impact.
