Maria Elena Torres-Padilla

Director of the Institute of Epigenetics and Stem Cells Maria-Elena Torres-Padilla is Full Professor at the LMU and Director of the Institute of Epigenetics and Stem Cells at the Helmholtz Zentrum München. After her studies of biology at the National University of Mexico (UNAM), she received a doctoral degree from the University of Paris/Institut Pasteur. She completed post-doc studies at the University of Cambridge and the IGBMC in Strasbourg. She is member of the European Molecular Biology Organisation and has authored more than 75 publications.
