Emmie Chiyindiko

Dr Emmie Chiyindiko is a scientist, problem-solver and trust-driven leader who translates scientific, systemic and economic complexity into action. She founded Falling Walls Lab Zimbabwe in 2022 and continues to lead the platform through partnerships including the Friedrich Naumann Foundation and UNDP. At Boehringer Ingelheim, she contributes to breakthrough innovation in healthcare. Emmie holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of the Free State, has 10+ peer-reviewed publications and is a GIZ “Afrika Kommt!” alumna. In 2021, she was named Breakthrough of the Year at the Falling Walls Lab in Berlin. Her work is driven by one question: how can the right people come together to turn insight into impact?
