Chuck Chuan Ng

Dr. Chuck Chuan Ng holds a First Class Honours BSc and a Ph.D. in Applied Environmental Sciences from the University of Malaya. He is an Assistant Professor at the China-ASEAN College of Marine Sciences, Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM). Dr. Chuck is an environmental activist and community volunteer, with a strong interest in global development, social welfare, and environmental issues. He actively participates in various international environmental and social organisations.

Chuck Chuan Ng's 2024 Falling Walls Engage Winner Project is Vet Bio-R.

Vet Bio-R engages Malaysian and Thai youths in hands-on bioremediation using Vetiver grass, fostering environmental stewardship and climate action. This project, a cross-border partnership, focuses on practical learning such as soil assessment and Vetiver planting. By demonstrating Vetiver’s benefits in carbon sequestration, erosion control, and biodiversity, it enhances climate change awareness and supports sustainable development in both countries.
