Cesilia Mambile is a PhD researcher in Information and Communication Science and Engineering at the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology. She is an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Dodoma and has a strong background in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and environmental sustainability. Her research focuses on deep learning applications for forest fire prediction, integrating satellite imagery, weather patterns, and human activity data to enhance disaster prevention strategies. She has led multiple AI-driven projects and contributed to blockchain applications in agricultural supply chains. She is the CEO of FirePredict Company, where she develops AI-based solutions for early fire detection and risk management. She has received multiple awards for her contributions to AI and technology, including the African Women in Tech & AI Program award in 2024 and the TWAS-SISSA-Lincei Research Cooperation Visit in 2024. Her work is driven by a commitment to leveraging AI for real-world impact, particularly in climate resilience and sustainable development.
