Andrea Benigni

Andrea Benigni studied at Politecnico di Milano in Italy and at RWTH-Aachen University in Germany. From 2014 to 2019, he was an Assistant Professor with University of South Carolina, Columbia, USA. In 2019 he joined RWTH-Aachen as Full Professor and FZ-Juelich as director of the institute for “Energy Systems Engineering (ICE-1)”. Dr. Benigni focuses on the development of methods and software tools for the planning, design and control of modern energy systems.
